Windows 7 Help & Support- The Live Experience

Yesterday my daughter insisted me to get Windows 7 on my HP laptop though I was not in favor to migrate the laptop from running Windows xp. She told me about the flabbergasting features of the latest operating system and I went into flow. I loaded the system software with a hope that it will give new breathe to the laptop performance but all in vain since the new software was not recognizing the hp printer machine at all.

I applied some tips, like plugging and unplugging the printer cable, restarting the laptop but nothing happened. When I didn’t get any ins and outs I scolded her in frustration telling her to throw all these into garbage. But she remained quiet and said “Don’t worry dad, it will be alright soon”. She opened Google, to search for ‘Windows 7 support’. She came across certain pages but not so much relevant. Then she entered ‘technical support for windows 7’ but again with nowhere. I suggested her to try with ‘Hp printer support’. After a short while she asked me for mobile. I gave her and she dialed the number of a tech support company. Very soon the call was entertained by a technician. He collected some details courteously about the printer problem and then asked for the remote access of my hp laptop. I was a bit hesitating but my daughter backed me and finally I agreed. Technician started working on the system; he updated the HP printer driver and asked me to take a test-print. This time the printer worked. I was amazed with the action of the technician. He hardly took 10 minutes to fix the problem which we couldn’t do in hours. I made the online payment for the same; it was a nominal price which he asked for. It was an excellent job done by a person sitting thousands miles away and I was stunned with the remote tech experience. Everything went like a dream.

I thanked the person on the other side of the phone. I got an e-mail too regarding a service guarantee, which was reading like, ‘We are happy to help you and in case the problem arises back in 48 hours then it can be resolved by our experts at no cost”.
